Professional Body Waxing Training
Waxing is an excellent and popular addition to any treatment menu and provides repeat business as it is an essential maintenance option for many clients. For many salons, it is their main income. The advantages over shaving include the extended length of hair-free time (1-2 weeks), the finer appearance of hair when it re-appears, the finer feel (less coarse), and that hair becomes less dense with regular waxing (some hairs will not grow back). Clients will often stay with the same waxer, endearing trust and rapport.
This Guild Training International (GTi) course is taught by experienced therapist Steve, who has PTLLS Level 4 teaching qualification. The course includes certification to practice through accreditation and insurance provided by the Guild Of Beauty Therapists awarding body and HABIA standards.
The theory is delivered and examined online with all the required resources available and online tutorial support when you need it.
The Body Waxing course follows HABIA's National Occupational Standards and covers the various types of hair removal, anatomy and physiology, skin disorders and diseases, contra-actions and contra-indications, reception, consultation, ventilation, technique, male waxing and aftercare.
The course teaches everything you need to know about carrying out a professional waxing service on different areas of the body including the legs, bikini/speedo line, underarms and facial waxing.
The course includes the Professional Standards course for students who have not previously completed this course. Guild student insurance is included for the duration of the course, plus a discounted price on Guild membership is available through al Covo on completion.
